NAMI Basics is an education program available free of charge for parents and other family caregivers who provide care for youth, pre-teens, teens, young adults who are experiencing mental health symptoms. During the program topics discussed will include how to develop confidence and stamina to support your child with compassion. You will learn about different types of mental health care professionals, available treatment options and therapies in the area. The course will help prepare for crisis situations, better understand how to navigate the public mental health care, school, and juvenile justice system. NAMI Basics offer parents and caregivers the unique opportunity to quickly realize they're not alone.
